I get these two questions at least 3-5 times a week:
How much is it possible to earn from affiliate marketing?
If I quit my job, how long will it take me to earn X/day?
Both of these questions depend on your skill because right now you are employed and you are time based. In the internet marketing industry you are skill based you do not have to work 8 hours a day. When you are done marketing for the day you move on to living your life. At work when your done you still need to sit around until its the end of your shift.
So here is my take on affiliate marketing…
As you skill level grows I see marketers fall into these income categories
- Affiliate Apprentice – Losing money.
- Low Level Affiliate – Anywhere from $0/day up to $300/day.
- Intermediate Affiliate – Anywhere from $300/day up to $3,000/day. <—- I’m here some days swing into high level
- High Level Affiliate – Anything above $3,000/day.
- The ‘Bag of Jerks’ Affiliate – He who considers anything less than $10,000/day to be ‘doing it wrong’.
Now were talking profit not gross revenue here.
One of the rare laws of affiliate marketing:
Revenue is vanity, profit is sanity.
From my example above you see that all in a shorter time than eating breakfast you can make over $4k and vise versa.
An Intermediate affiliate may drop some after a marketing budget ends.
The Bag of Jerks Affiliate will continue to prosper or if they get complacent it can bite them in the a$$
$300/Day vs. $300/Today
Lot’s of newbies are not able to figure out their daily profit from today’s profit.
Since this industry is volatile it can be hard to determine your yearly salary but that element of uncertainty is what I thrive on…
Say on your first day of affiliate marketing you hit $1,000 most would assume you would earn $365,000 for a yearly profit.
However, based on just today’s income your salary for a year is basically $2.73 per day which leads me into my next point.
Success in any business takes MASSIVE action everyday and in the affiliate marketing industry its not who can write the best blog post, its not even who puts up the best video on their blog and its not even who has the best pictures.
Want to know what is the determining factor?
It is who is the best promoter, that its..
Learning how to blog effectively is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration.
